Centrifugal Thoughts, Living Dreams (a sonnet)

Swirling around in centrifugal thoughts,
swift as suffusions of sun ‘pon the seas
that dance in radiance, elegance lost
to rhythms of nature like swaying trees
with twirling leaves falling down on one’s head,
wind sweeping dust from the floor-beds of rot
to mix with atmospheres living and dead —
both cold below and above where it’s hot —
conjoined in symphonies sung from the soul
to a world without silence, so shrouded
in shadows that scatter by light’s control,
an effulgence claiming all that’s clouded:
from centralized darkness to distant streams
that flow through a wake into living dreams.
