A New Story
There comes a time when you are faced with a life-altering decision: Press forward and embrace the unknown, or turn back and be bound by the familiar.
Are you really afraid of the unknown, or are you actually afraid of losing the familiar?
The familiar is often chosen because it offers a sense of comfort, but this kind of comfort can be deceptive. What seems comfortable at first becomes bondage over time. The very thing that promised security is the same thing that steals your freedom, and life quickly turns into a monotonous rerun of unimpressive scenes.
This happens because you were not made for comfort. You were made for growth! And growth is uncomfortable. It requires movement, change, and a willingness to adapt.
What if you were able to write a new story? One that enlivens your spirit to new heights, draws your heart to new depths, and awakens your soul to new freedom. A story so bold and brilliant that you’d struggle to believe it was real. A story that is not bound by the restrictions of your past mistakes, nor by your insecurities, fears, or doubts. If you could write a story like that, what would it be?
Imagine the sights. Imagine the sensory input. Imagine what it would feel like to be living in it.
Now pray about it. Meditate on it. Visualize it and release it into God’s hands.
He has a better story for you than you can even imagine for yourself, and all you have to do is believe it and surrender the comforts of your familiar story.
You’ve only got one life on this planet.
Don’t waste it on reruns.
Write a new story.
